Services
Small repairs finished on the visit, bigger jobs booked in properly. Here’s what each involves.

What we carry, what we do
Left-hand column is what’s in the van before we set off. That’s why the middle column usually gets finished the same day.
Ring and describe it. We’ll tell you if it’s a today job or a book-it-in job.
In detail
Round here the call usually comes from somewhere with a drive attached to it, so the first thing we do on the phone is get you slowing the damage down while we’re on the road to you.
Splits, bursts, leaks under sinks and baths, cisterns pouring over, mains valves that have seized, and heating dead in the middle of a cold week. Stopped first, priced second, repaired third.
The most common complaint we get from the villages above the town. A shower that trickles, a bath that takes twenty minutes, taps that fight each other when two run at once.
It could be an old gravity-fed tank system, a valve somebody left half closed, furred-up pipework or genuinely low incoming mains. Each has a different fix at a very different price, which is exactly why it’s worth measuring the flow rate rather than fitting a pump and hoping.
Gas Safe registered, so servicing, repairs, swaps and landlord certificates all stay with us.
Combi, system and heat-only boilers, plus unvented cylinders where a property needs stored hot water. Which one suits depends on the house and how many outlets want running at once, not on which is quickest to install.
Whole bathrooms from stripping out to the last bead of silicone, or a single shower swapped in an afternoon. Both get the same first fix.
Falls on the wastes, valve positions set before the wall closes, everything tested before it is boarded and tiled.
The obvious ones are easy. The costly ones creep — a patch on a ceiling, a meter ticking over with everything off, a cellar that smells damp.
Traced back to the source rather than opening the nearest wall and hoping, then shown to you before we put it right.
New rads, vertical panels for narrow walls, column radiators that suit older stone rooms, and moves where the original went somewhere impractical.
If a room never warms up we work out why properly. Half the time it’s balancing, which costs nothing but time and is the most commonly skipped job in heating.
FAQs
Most small jobs finish on the visit, which is the entire reason the van is loaded the way it is. Where we genuinely need a part that nobody carries, we will say so on the day and give you a date rather than leaving it vague. Boiler swaps and bathrooms are always booked in properly with materials ordered first.
Either. We can supply everything, or fit a suite, boiler or tap set you’ve bought yourself. Say which when you ring so it’s priced right.
Yes — Gas Safe registered, so we carry out and certify landlord gas safety checks and can service the boiler at the same visit.
Happily. First fix, then back for second fix once tiling is done, with dates coordinated so nobody stands about.
Usually. It depends where the supplies and waste can run and what pressure you have. We’ll tell you what’s achievable before you commit to anything.
Yes. Old parts and packaging go on the van, floors swept, anything moved put back.

Tell us what’s up and roughly when suits. We ring back to agree a time, then we turn up in it — not at the far end of a day you’ve written off waiting.

No obligation. We’ll say honestly whether it’s a half-hour job or a proper one.
